Currently funded by Welsh Government with a contribution from Powys Teaching Health Board, advisers visit:

· Welshpool

· Llanidloes

· Presteigne

· Llandrindod Wells

· Talgarth

Medical Centres.

The service is available to all registered patients.

Patients who need advice should ask at 

the surgery reception for an appointment with the Citizens Advice adviser who visits the surgery.

The Adviser can help with a range of different problems:

· Debt
· Welfare Benefits
· Tax/PAYE/ tax credit issues
· Employment issues
· Housing
· Family and personal matters
· Financial literacy
· Legal problems
· Nationality
· Consumer Rights

Benefits for Children with Additional Needs

This service tries to ensure that children with additional needs and their carers are getting all the benefits they are entitled to … in particular Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children and in some cases Carers Allowance for the parent/carer.

This additional service is funded by Welsh Government and is available in venues throughout Powys.
